  • This soilless growing medium is lightweight and produces less dust than traditional soil mediums. Additionally, it is free from pathogens, weed seeds, heavy metals, and other harmful ingredients.

  • It serves as the perfect all-purpose, nutrient enhanced potting mix for indoor containers, flower beds, soil improvement, grass seeding, and any other applications where traditional potting mix is typically applied.
  • PittMoss sources all paper ingredients from local recycling facilities, hand sorts each batch to ensure zero contaminants and conducts extensive testing to create a perfect living soil environment.

Using PittMoss

I've used PittMoss as a water retention ingredient when making my soil mix. It helps to reduce the watering necessary in my moss baskets and pots. I mix it in the soil and put a layer at the bottom of each container. It helps to avoid over-watering and assists when the weather is very hot. It as become a trusted ingredient in my garden.

Great peat-free alternative

I've used it to start seeds, trasplant cuttings, and as a mix with normal potting soil for my roses. Works great and definitely holds onto moisture better than traditional peat moss.
