White Mixer Ornament. Made from mouth blown glass. Approximately 3.25 inches tall (8 cm). Includes a FREE Old World Christmas storage box. Made by Old World Christmas. Each figural glass ornament is hand crafted in age-old tradition using the same techniques that originated in the 1800's. Molten glass is mouth-blown into finely carved molds available only to the Merk Family's Old World Christmas, before a hot solution of liquid silver is poured inside. The mixer was introduced in 1856 by Ralph Collier. In 1908 the electrical mixer was born. Before the mixer, baking was much more laborious and time consuming, slowing production.
