Compost and peat

Haven’t used it so I shouldn’t comment.
The box has a lot of medium sized ants. In it. Since this is one of two times this has happened. I think you should check it out. The ants in both cases are unfamiliar. I never saw them around here..

Coast of Maine Penobscot Blend

I contacted Coast of Maine to inquire about planting seedlings directly into their Penobscot Blend as one of my gardens is over shale with very little top soil. They told me it was perfectly fine to do that so I topped my planting area with two bags and dug as much of it as I could into my native soil. The Penobscot Blend is light and loamy and easy to work with. By the end of the week my seedlings are green and putting on new growth. I can tell they are going to do well in this soil blend.
Esbendhades is great to order from - they ship very quickly. They always have what I need in stock, unlike our local nursery which is not stocking much days.
